Essay Writing Services for US Students - Global Warming
Hi, this is a public speaking class. I have to bring a persuasive ( speech to convince) topic to talk about, so I chose to talk about global warming is real/ not real?
I need at least 5 resources. And I'm attaching to u all the information. But for the problem solution speech I will ask u to do it later on in another paper. Now only focus on the persuasive speech. If u have any question plz don't hesitate.
“Much Ado About Nothing”, this famous phrase is in vogue when people talk about
Global warming, but I am strongly against it and believe that there is “Much Ado About
Something” and we have scientific evidence to prove the same. There are major changes going
around us because of global warming and one very obvious change is climate change. There are
other changes to be considered like the increase in CO2 levels, the rise in growth of tropical
pathogens, glacial recession and rising sea levels. Human beings have to open their eyes and
accept the climatic changes going on around them because of global warming and instead of
denying facts we have to start taking concrete steps to deal with this overwhelming issue. In the
following speech we will try to understand the basic reasons of global warming, then study the
climatic effects and other effects of global warming and finally try to find some solutions to this
problem. First, let us try to understand the basic reasons of global warming.
The rise of CO2 levels is a special cause of concern, which is one of the major reasons
behind global warming. According to Hemmer et al., “Since 1850, the CO2 content of the
atmosphere has increase from 280 to 360 ppm and the average surface temperature has risen
from 14.6 to 15.3 degree C. A further increase between 1.8 and 4.0 C is expected for the 21 st
century” (Hemmer et al., 2007). Global warming is the problem of an increase in the level of
carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This carbon dioxide layer acts as a natural blanket of the earth
and performs the function of trapping heat, which results in warming the planet. With a
continuous increase in the CO2 levels due to the multiple activities of human beings, such as,
cutting down and burning forests and burning fossil fuels like oil and coal, the carbon dioxide
levels in the blanket are increasing resulting in global warming (Global Warming Causes, 2011).
The main effect of global warming is on the climate.
