My goal is to develop the skill of dealing with employee problems, especially the problems related to sexual harassment. Dealing with employee problems is important for an HR manager because if the problems of the employees are not solved at the right time, they may escalate into big issues and cost the company, the employers and also the employees. I have chosen this particular goal for many reasons. The first reason is personal. My aunt has faced a similar problem at her workplace. She was sexually harassed and she could not deal with the situation. She was need of the job, but when the situation became unbearable she approached the higher authorities. Unfortunately, she wasn’t given help on time and she had to approach the Human Resource Agency and file a case. The case went on for two years and ultimately my aunt was provided compensation. The two years she suffered was torture for her and the family. I wouldn’t want anyone to suffer like my aunt and that is the reason I have chosen this goal. The second reason is based on humanitarian grounds.
