My initial reaction is I was surprised and shocked by some of the material the guy talked about. Flatulence is a topic that I do think is associated with overall health because a person needs a way to relieve any gases from inside there body. If one does not relieve these gases it can cause medical problems that could lead to bigger issues. Watching the video I learned that, men and women fart 10-20 times a day, with the average being 14. This shocked me because I did not know that the average would be this high, I thought that it would have been a lot lower. Another thing that I learned was, women tend to hold in there farts more which causes bloating and abdominal pain, also learned is womens farts smell worse than mens, I really thought it was the other way around. Beans, milk, cauliflower, broccoli and sweet potatoes are all foods that contribute to flatulence. After watching this video, I do not think I need to change anything in how I live.

I agree because I too was shocked at a few things in the video. When I think through my day I can not remember farting 10-20 times and the video said that 10-20 was the average. I figured that women held their farts in more than men but I did not think that womens farts would smell worse than mens. It never occurred to me either that holding in farts could be bad for you.
My initial reaction was noticing how a subject that people avoid because of embarrassment was made into a comical, less serious video. It was a good way of projecting the main ideas without getting any body's panties in a bunch. I think that while I do find farting to be completely normal, I do not usually associate it with good health. I can see how it would be though. I agree that by avoiding it, bloating and stomach problems result and neither of those are fun. I was very surprised that women have worse smelling farts than guys. Apparently the researchers have never met my brother. Milk, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, beans, legumes, and lentils are the most common foods that contribute to flatulence. I eat a lot of sweet potatoes and vegetables in general. I also cannot go a day without drinking milk. Honestly, the likelihood of me changing my diet is slim, because the foods that cause the flatulance are all healthy.
