Evelyn Waugh, a great satirical novelist, was born on Oct 28, 1903, in London, England. He wrote books on different topics, but most of the books he has written before 1939 are satirical. His work after the World War II is more serious. Among his many novels and stories, Loved One and Brideshead Revisited are considered some of his famous works (Evelyn Arthur Brideshead is a typical “Catholic” drama and clearly shows the influence of the World War II on Waugh’s writing. Waugh may have faced some difficulties in his personal and military life during the World War II and the effect of these difficulties is clearly visible in this book.
